In treasury and capital markets, business workflows span multiple systems — from trade capture to settlement, risk, and reporting. Every release, upgrade, or interface change introduces one big question: Does the end-to-end process still work?

Too often, answering that means juggling multiple tools, maintaining brittle scripts, and relying on manual effort. It’s time-consuming, error-prone, and slows down delivery.

With the latest release of our test automation solution, RightClick TMS, that changes.

Introducing API Integration Testing in TMS

RightClick TMS now lets you run API calls directly inside your test suite — no external scripts, no wrappers, no custom code. You can even combine API steps with UI automation to build unified, cross-system workflows in a single run.

This unlocks:

✅ Unified workflows: Combine API and UI steps in one test

Simpler maintenance: No more scripts or wrappers

Faster releases: Catch issues earlier, with less effort

Configuring API Tests the Easy Way

With the new API Testing step in RightClick TMS, you can quickly configure API calls without writing a single line of code. Just define the endpoint, set any required headers and payload, and save the test case to your library.

Once saved, these steps can be reused across test cases and combined with UI automation, providing real business process coverage with minimal setup.

For technical users, it’s similar to working in Postman, but fully integrated into your test framework. For business users, it’s simple, visual, and easy to maintain.

With the new API integration in RightClick TMS, automation is easier than ever, cutting manual work, speeding up testing, and boosting release quality.

Real-World Example: MarkitWire + Summit Integration

Here’s how it works in practice, as shown in our demo video below:

  1. Send a new trade to MarkitWire via API.

  2. Log in to Summit using UI automation and export the cashflows.

  3. Retrieve the cashflows from Summit with a second API call, using the trade ID.

These three steps, once separate and manual, now form one automated, end-to-end test all inside the RightClick TMS application. The same approach can be applied across your ecosystem, enabling fast, reliable validation across systems like Murex, Calypso, Summit, or custom APIs.
